Introduction to the structure of the yard lock

A mechanical lock consists of two main parts. The body part is fixed and the inner part is cylindrical, pear and circular and is called a hub. The ball has a groove and the key can be inserted and rotated around its central axis inside the body. Both the hub and the body usually have holes that are perpendicular to the cylindrical ball so that each hole on the hub is aligned with a hole on the body.
The holes on the body have a closed end and a spring and then a narrow cylindrical pin of rice called a shot. In the holes inside the holes are the bullets from the center of the head. The heights of these shotguns are not the same and have different lengths, meaning that in areas where the shot is long, the key has the same degree of inclination or vice versa.

How to operate a yard lock

In the normal case when the key is not locked, the elastic forces of the springs in the body part have the shotguns inserted into the holes on the movable part to prevent the hub from rotating, and the keystrokes to block the keyway entry.
When the lock key enters the hub, it moves the hinged shotguns so that the bodyguns go out of the holes and the hub can rotate around its axis. Rotation of the ball results in an acceleration motion that moves the lock tab back and forth. Of course, to enhance the security of the brain circulation, it does not move the appendix alone, but rather the key tip must push the second appendage backwards to engage the first appendix.
In short, the key has three functions:
1. Release the brain from the body
2- Involve the first appendix with the second
3- The first appendix moves which causes the tab to move.

How to detect a good lock

1- Since every shot on the brain is a code digit, the higher the number of shots the more difficult it is to find the correct password and the greater the security of the lock. Normal locks have between five and six shotguns, but there are also locks that have up to fifteen shotguns that are five along different axes.
2. The most sensitive point is in the locking of the shotguns, and unlocking them will unlock any key that has a diameter. These shotguns are located in the lower part of the lock and can be easily deactivated by drilling this point. To avoid this problem, two steel cylindrical pins are crucially placed in front of the shotgun which divert the drill's direction of movement. Outside the area directs the shots. Most cheap locks have no pins or are made of iron that is easily cut.
3- The key to the inside of the lock is the capability of the hub in the body, and the low hub lubrication is another three important parameters that indicate the security and sensitivity of the lock. If the ball is in the hull, the shotguns do not need to go completely inside the hull, but by releasing the hub enclosure they release the brain, meaning similar keys can be unlocked.
4- The capability of the shotguns inside the holes also makes the lock more sensitive.
5- High quality body material makes the body of the holes not open due to friction and friction with the shotguns and the sensitivity of the lock is not reduced. Also, when the holes are opened as the key enters, the shotguns get stuck in the body and the key cannot be locked.
6- The tips of the bulletproof balls are exposed to wear due to the high friction with the permanent key body and if eaten not strong, they will not lock even after a while.

Safety tips when using a lock

1- Cylinder locks are made in two sizes of six and seven centimeters for doors with different diameters. Using a 7-centimeter lock for a narrow door makes the lock to stay out of the door as it is easily broken by the pressure of the latch and opens the door. Use the right cylinder for the door and note that the lock is not too out of place with less security because the hole in the middle of the lock is not symmetrical.
2- Vital locks should not come out of the body. If left unattended, weld a short diameter pipe to protect the lock around it.
3- It is wrong to remove the key from the lock during the night or at rest, even putting the key on the lock without changing it. The best thing to do is to lock and rotate the key
